Most, if not all, of Stone Brewing’s beers use the same yeast…a yeast that its not my favorite, but more preferable than certain Belgian yeasts that make me want to gag. (Sorry to those who love Belgian beer!) I really enjoy Stone’s IPAs and this special beer I bought from their brewery near San Diego. Bastard’s Midnight Brunch is aged in both bourbon and maple syrup barrels! Dark and syrupy. Pretty delicious. I shared this one with my coworkers and I hope I still have another bottle laying around in my “beer cellar” (a dusty kitchen cabinet).
